One Week Anniversary!

Well, it happened... I have a boyfriend now!

Sam asked me out a week ago today, and it's going pretty well! I like him more and more every time we see each other. Yesterday he took me out to dinner and treated me, for no particular occasion. He buys me Reese's and drinks and breakfast! and I give him back scratches and massages and rides. Virgos and Libras aren't traditionally thought of as the most compatible signs, but there's one thing we do have in common, which is our nurturing and caring disposition. For some reason, he thinks I'm such an amazing person! He told me yesterday that I notice unusually special things about people, and can bring out the best in them. I didn't really understand what he meant, but after thinking about it for a bit I think he's referring to how supportive and encouraging I am about his career. This is for two reasons: one, I literally am so supportive and two: he's never had a girlfriend in his life to support him at all before. It brings me great pleasure to know that I am the first girl to introduce Sam to the fantastical world of dating, first loves, and the blissful high of infatuation. I'll be his first valentine in about a month, and something tells me he'll plan something much better than Matt ever would. Sam was made to be a boyfriend. He has so much love and compassion to give, and he needs a woman to devote himself to... doesn't sound like a bad gig for me!

He's sensitive and reserved, but starting to open up to me. I can tell he's passionate about certain things but needs time to get there with me. I already found out that he hates sports management majors! In a few months I know that we will be much closer.

And... guess what? I already thought of a wedding hashtag 😝 #IOnlyHaveSpeizForYou ; wouldn't that be funny if I returned to this blog post in 5 years to use it?

 does the fact that I haven't written in almost a year mean I must be down bad to be finally journaling now? It's the day after Yom Kippur. Bryant Park Winter Village

I can't say that I've had a bad day, only that I've had a particularly lonely and sad day. I don't think I like Josh anymore, I'm not attracted to him and never have been but I don't even want to fucking talk about that. I know you shouldn't make any brash decisions or ruminate on feelings when you're HALT (hungry, angry, lonely, or tired)... these days I'm edging towards the LT more and more frequently.  Today I went to the Bryant Park Winter Village. Where the fuck has the time gone? What happened to the girl that loved doing things alone? I walked through today surrounded by people and felt entirely and singularly alone. A Hannah Horvath moment

I got the impulse to start writing again (I'm going to call it writing from now on, not journaling--to give it more credibility and myself more freedom for content) because of the HBO series Girls OKAY, I'm coming back to continue this blog post a few days later. I know it's been exceptionally long since I've written, and the thought just occurred to me (ocurred?) that maybe I've been reluctant to write because I didn't want to articulate the struggles I've been going through and immortalize them by actually acknowledging them.  ANd yeah, maybe I had to run out to a bodega 7 minutes away at 9:30pm on a 3-day weekend to buy coconut water for myself while I'm 10mg high on an edible.
